On to Utah con.

Cathedral Gorge
As we left Cathedral Gorge, we hit Utah in just a few miles. What struck me is that as soon as we hit Utah, the roads really got bad right away. They were very bumpy, and I just wanted to say "Way to go Nevada" for the great upkeep on your roads. But we had to enjoy Utah, for once we got to the interstates, we could open up the gas and go up to 80 miles per hour! What fun! What is wrong with you Oregon, for keeping us at 65 here and there? Guess what, we can handle higher speeds! And it's fun!

I forgot to mention that while we were on Hwy 50 yesterday, Mark loves speed and likes to see how fast he can go when there is absolutely know one around and you can see for miles. He got the SUV up to 115 miles per hour! What a rush! (Kids, don't do this at home)

As we headed into Utah, we came across a dog in the middle of the road, and another one on the side of the road eating something. As it was very hot out, we thought we would get the dogs out of the
road and give them something to drink. They looked like they might have been abandoned, but we couldn't tell. They were very skittish of us, and wouldn't come to us or drink anything. We think they were from some surrounding ranch, as they left the road and headed off into a pasture. There were some houses in the distance, we think they belonged there. At least we got them off the road for a time.
