On to Utah!

We decided before we left on this trip to catch all of the National Parks in Utah, to include Arches, Capitol Reef, and Canyonlands in addition to Zion and Bryce. We have already seen Zion and Bryce Canyons, but they were pretty awesome, so what could it hurt to see them again?

As we drove onward to Utah, we passed this little park which we couldn't see from the hwy. Ho Hum we thought. Then Mark asked if maybe we should go back and check it out. Being game for anything new and unusual, I said "Go for it." So he turned the car around and in we went. Little did we know what was in store for us at Cathedral Gorge.

This place is just off the hwy at a place called Miller Point.

As we drove in, a whole mini canyon land opened up before us. It was so cool in a small kind of way. It isn't the Grand Canyon, but it did have a charm of its own.

The really cool thing about this place, is that there is practically no one else around. We were able to
climb down and hike aways into the canyon via stairs and ladders and had the whole place to ourselves.
We climbed down around 500 feet and were just in awe of the formations and caves we were able to explore. This would be a great place to bring your kids if you want a place they can run around in fairly freely. We looked up and the sky was so blue, it looked unreal. Everything about this place was fascinating, and this was still in Nevada!
