Hey me and a friend are also planning on beginning our PCT thru hike on April 15th. Laura and I(Byron)are both truckers. We were wondering why your starting at Campo rather than the Mexican Border? Are you concerned about Mexican drug runnner's etc. My email is bldduck2@aol.com, wish you good luck and hope to see you on the trail. Planning resupply stops has become quite a choir for us.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad we could clear up the misunderstanding Byron! We are starting at the border. We just call it Campo, since the town is so close to the monument. The border patrol has a huge presence out there, so we are not worried about the Mexican drug runners. This part of the border seems to be relatively quiet, we haven't heard about too much activity there, plus we are planning to move it quick out of the area.
