This is a test... This is just a test!

We now have what we think we are going to be using on the trail to update our blog with. It has been a long time coming and a lot of thought has been put into this decision.

Legaorus is the brains behind the technology, but even he has his limits. After all, we are in our 50's now, and we didn't exactly grow up with computers. So we are trying to go with what we know, and save our experimentation with totally new and foreign gadgets for after the trail.

We thought of using our Iphones with the dragon app to update with. That seemed like a winner until we found the screen on the phone was way too small for our aging eyes. Never mind that the blogging on the keyboard is next to impossible using one finger at a time. We would not have one post finished by the time we got to Canada!

So... we went with a laptop which we will be bouncing ahead of us from town to town. Oh the luxury of a full size keyboard! We went down to our internet provider last weekend, bought a jetpack, and we are set up with a secure internet connection we can use in our motel rooms or even just sitting down at the post office. We will be updating every 5-7 days, but we will have a blog post for each day, along with mileages per day.

This whole post along with uploaded picture from our computer has been done entirely from the laptop. It is not ideal (too small to see well), but this proves it can be done. It will suffice! Just pardon the errors if any come up. ; }
